Shoebury Spiritual Centre was first opened on the 12th of May 1999, by Alan, Paul and Big Steve, at the Shoebury Hotel, Shoeburyness.

The first medium to work there was Bill Rich
(see our mediums page as he is still working with us today).

Big Steve left in the September of 1999 and little Steve joined the team, Stuart and Rita then joined the team in the November of 1999, Alan left us last year (2004).

On July the 7th 2004 as you may know there was a fire at the Shoebury Hotel, people thought that was the end of the centre but thanks to Lorraine, who told us about this place we opened the following Thursday at the Sandpiper Community Centre and have been here ever since.
Since we have been here we have met lots of lovely new people.

Our Mission Statement

The idea of the centre was to raise money for local charities, and to bring awareness of Spirit to Shoebury as there was no other centre in the local area.

How We have achieved this

We have raised money by several means, like arranging one to one table reads, fun days our weekly and christmas raffles. Lots of hard work but a lot of fun as well, over the last six years we have raised for charity £13,500.00 approximately (it could be slightly more as some records were lost in the fire).
We have certificates from some of the charities framed and we display them each week at the meetings, we also have a folder containing thank you letters from the charities, which are available for everyone to look at.

A Message to everyone who comes to the centre

A big thank you goes to all of you for coming here every week and helping to make this a happy place to be. many mediums love working here and think you are lovely people.

We have made many friends while we have been here and hopefully you have too.
The centre will remain open for as long as you want us here. If there are any mediums you want to see or anything you would like to be done please let us know.
